Roles and Responsibilities of journal editors/Editorial members 

Editor-in-Chief

The senior most editor has overall responsibility for the journal.

Managing editor

The managing editor directly supervises the day-to-day operations of the journal and reports to the editor in chief. The managing editor's job is to suggest ideas, assign articles, handle problems, keep the staff on schedule and answer questions from concerned associate editors. He is also responsible for lighter copyediting of manuscripts.

Associate editor

An editor who coordinates peer review; liaises with authors, reviewers and board members; writes short editorials, news and research highlights, and carries out heavy developmental/technical editing of manuscripts.

Office Assistant

Works under the supervision of editor in chief. The duties may include handling a variety of office or administrative tasks, such as logging and filing information on the status of manuscripts; scheduling, attending and summarizing meetings; and handling routine phone calls, emails and correspondence.
